Geisinger Health System, one of the nation’s largest rural health services, serves more than three million residents across 48 Pennsylvania counties and maintains 417 buildings. Founded in 1915, the system acts as general contractor/construction manager for more than 190 projects and coordinates nearly 500 internal staff, architects, engineers, and contractors—creating a huge volume of activities and documents that required a centralized, secure project management solution to track work, share information, and control projects collectively.

In 2010 Geisinger implemented Procore’s cloud-based construction management software to centralize thousands of plans and documents and streamline bidding, submittals, and RFIs. Procore provided role-based access control, automatic drawing version tracking, faster submittal turnaround (from six‑to‑seven business days to one or two), reduced printing/postage costs, and improved collaboration—giving the facilities team visibility and control and enabling readiness for new delivery methods like Integrated Project Delivery.
