MAJA-Maschinenfabrik Hermann Schill GmbH & Co. KG, a manufacturer of machines for the food industry, faced challenges with delivery times and inefficient production planning caused by using numerous isolated solutions and an external planning system. To relieve pressure on production and gain a unified view of operations, the company chose to implement the proALPHA ERP system and its integrated Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) module.

The proALPHA solution enabled simultaneous, transparent planning of material flows and capacities across multiple sites. This allowed MAJA to optimize resource utilization, prioritize orders flexibly, and eliminate bottlenecks. As a result, proALPHA helped MAJA reduce delivery times by approximately a third to three or four weeks, cut overtime in make-to-order production to zero, and reduce stock on hand by about a third, significantly improving overall efficiency.
