KWS, one of the world’s leading plant breeding companies, needed a better way to manage its seed production cycle across a global network of growers, processors, distributors, and hauliers. Its existing reliance on phone, fax, and email caused up to three-week delays, manual data entry errors, and limited visibility into order, delivery, and invoice status during critical seasonal peaks. Proagrica was brought in to improve transactional data exchange and help KWS scale more reliably with its partners.
Proagrica implemented a cloud-hosted data integration solution for KWS, combining EDI and a portal connected to its SAP system to provide real-time visibility, traceability, and streamlined order and logistics processes. The result was reduced manual errors, better inventory control, faster logistics tracking, and more accountable third parties, with improved customer satisfaction through more reliable delivery dates. Proagrica also delivered a faster deployment and lower, predictable cost of ownership compared with a self-build approach.
