AFA Insurance, a major Swedish insurance provider, needed to update its IT infrastructure to boost overall performance and accelerate its backup processes. Their challenge was to modernize a well-established virtualized environment without completely changing its foundation. To achieve this, they partnered with Proact to upgrade their enterprise storage platform.

Proact implemented a solution using NetApp AFF All-Flash primary storage mirrored via a MetroCluster, along with the Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery platform. This resulted in substantially shorter response times for key applications and dramatically faster backup and restore cycles. A measurable impact was the reduction of database cloning time for developers from five hours to just seconds. Proact also provided ongoing hardware support and expert knowledge transfer to the organization.
