Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust - Customer Case Study

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust needed to rapidly upscale their IT environment to provide a sustainable and cost-effective remote work solution for their community healthcare workforce. This challenge became particularly urgent at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to support staff in isolation and to mobilize care providers. They engaged the vendor, Proact, to help modernize their infrastructure.

Proact implemented a solution by evolving the Trust's existing Azure setup, adopting Microsoft AVD and NetApp files to create a robust, scalable platform. This allowed the Trust to dramatically improve cost-efficiency, hosting 2,000 users for the same price as 1,000, while providing a better performing service. The results were significant, empowering staff to work from anywhere and enabling each midwife to see two extra patients per day, thereby directly improving patient care.
