Widespread Visibility into Safety Performance at SJI

South Jersey Industries (SJI), a 1,100-employee energy company serving about 700,000 customers, faced fragmented safety data managed by paper forms, emails and unstable Excel files that produced errors, crashes and limited sharing across the business. To address this, SJI chose Pro-Sapien’s safety management software for SharePoint/Office 365 to replace manual processes and connect safety information across the organization.

Pro-Sapien implemented a configurable Office 365/SharePoint EHS system with Active Directory SSO and Power Automate integrations, rolled out across SJI in 2020. The solution eliminated time-consuming manual entry, freed the safety team for proactive work, enabled a formal Near Miss program, and delivered drill-down dashboards on corporate SharePoint—providing widespread visibility into safety performance and boosting company-wide engagement in safety.
