IQVIA and Privacy Analytics work to improve cancer treatment outcomes in Europe

Real-World and Analytics Solutions worked with Privacy Analytics to support the European Oncology Evidence Network (OEN), which needed to unlock insights from patient data while meeting strict privacy and GDPR requirements. The challenge was to collect and analyze large volumes of real-world oncology data from multiple hospitals without allowing patient-level data to leave the hospital cancer centers.

Privacy Analytics implemented its Eclipse software as an automated pseudonymization platform, along with customized key management and secure on-demand re-linking features, to transform sensitive patient data safely and at scale. This enabled OEN hospitals to create privacy-protected research datasets for in-house analysis and share only aggregated results, helping improve observational studies, support better treatment decisions, and build a future-proof foundation for safer data-sharing across the oncology ecosystem.
