Makai HR is a Honolulu-based PEO launched in 2018 by industry veterans who set out to run a lean, technology-driven operation. Their challenge was avoiding the inefficiencies they’d seen elsewhere—multiple systems for HRIS, client management and CRM led to miscommunication, inconsistent data and repeated manual entry that increased errors and overhead.
Makai HR implemented PrismHR Pulse to manage the entire client lifecycle from prospecting through renewals. Pulse centralized activity tracking, includes PEO-specific pricing (including workers’ comp), and lets sales reps generate agreements quickly, allowing Makai to retire a separate CRM. The result: improved visibility and collaboration across departments, faster sales and onboarding, fewer errors and lower operational overhead.
