HEPA Environmental Services is a Rootstown, Ohio–based environmental services firm with about 30 employees that handles asbestos, lead, mold, industrial cleaning and hazardous‑materials work. As a small, high‑risk company, HEPA needed payroll, HR expertise, workers’ compensation and 401(k) administration but couldn’t afford in‑house specialists, and its multi‑state payroll and costly workers’ comp requirements were especially challenging.
