SMI Group, a UK supplier of critical systems for defense and energy platforms, faced rising production volumes and needed to modernize processes, improve customer support and increase operational efficiency because its legacy systems could not cope. To address this, SMI selected Priority Software’s ERP solution (the Priority Manufacturing suite with integrated CRM, Financial and Project Management modules), implemented in the UK by partner Medatech UK.

Medatech UK deployed the full Priority Software solution on a single database covering all departments, delivering customized functionality and project-based capabilities for defense contracts. The rollout more than doubled system users, allowed inventory to be managed at levels that support uninterrupted manufacturing, streamlined processes to save time and cost, and SMI now receives annual programmed upgrades to remain current.
