ControlUp, a provider of IT management and user-experience tools used by more than 1,000 organizations, needed to replace in-person events during COVID-19 and find a way to drive brand awareness and meaningful engagement for a virtual showdown. To boost registrations and social promotion, ControlUp partnered with Printfection and used Printfection’s swag platform to run a virtual giveaway of branded socks.

ControlUp created a playful campaign asking people to share an event post on Twitter or LinkedIn in exchange for socks, with Printfection handling fulfillment. The effort helped net over 350 registrants, more than 100 attendees who stayed for the full hour, 400 unique video views within hours, 25 new YouTube subscribers, and 40 new leads—demonstrating that Printfection’s platform drove measurable engagement and increased virtual event ROI.
