Top-Ranked Law Firm Uses PrinterLogic to Empower End-Users to Install Printers and Significantly Reduce Print-Related Consumables

Fennemore Craig, a top-ranked Mountain West law firm with six offices and about 400 employees, faced rising print costs and management headaches from an Active Directory/group policy–based print environment. Their old system couldn’t enforce driver policy, which led to unnecessary color printing, complex and error-prone printer assignments that burdened the service desk, and no easy way for mobile staff to self-provision printers.

By deploying PrinterLogic’s centralized, web-based console the firm enforced driver defaults (reverting to black-and-white and enabling duplex where desired), empowered helpdesk staff to quickly create or change printer assignments, and offered an intuitive self-install portal with floorplan maps for users. The result: color printing dropped by about 85% (color output fell to ~15% of prior levels), faster printer deployment, fewer helpdesk calls, eliminated driver print server complexity, and clear cost savings and ROI.
