VCPI, a Milwaukee-based provider of IT solutions for long-term and post-acute care, was struggling to manage printing in a virtual desktop environment across 2,400 client sites and more than 11,000 printers. VDI-related issues such as spooler crashes, driver problems and high support overhead made consistent, reliable printing difficult for end users and costly for VCPI to support.

VCPI selected PrinterLogic, deploying a single, self-install printer portal with floor‑plan mapping and a central driver repository plus direct IP provisioning to eliminate most print servers. The change reduced hardware and management costs, nearly eliminated printer-related service desk calls, improved print performance and availability, and enabled VCPI to centrally manage its nationwide print estate with just two people—savings and reliability they passed on to clients.
