La Roche College Replaces ThinPrint and Integrates PaperCut with PrinterLogic's Printer Management Solution to Deliver Future Proof VDI Printing

La Roche College, a private liberal arts school in the Pittsburgh area with about 1,500 students, was migrating to a VMware VDI environment and struggling with printing: ThinPrint failed to handle legacy Xerox devices, group policy–based deployments were unreliable in student labs, and any new solution had to work seamlessly with the college’s PaperCut billing/tracking system.

La Roche replaced ThinPrint with PrinterLogic, deploying it quickly with vendor support to dynamically push printers by AD user/OU or IP and provide a self-service portal for users. PrinterLogic resolved legacy printer issues, integrated smoothly with PaperCut, sped up and simplified printer deployments across labs and staff, and delivered more reliable printing—already supporting eight labs (~100 PCs) and positioning the college for a zero‑client future and additional PrinterLogic features.
