Indiana Farm Bureau Ditches 138 Print Servers with PrinterLogic

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, a leading provider of auto, homeowners and farm insurance in Indiana with 138 field offices, 1,200+ employees and roughly 300 printers, faced a costly, time-consuming upgrade of aging Windows print servers at every site. IT needed to eliminate those 138 distributed servers without forcing print traffic over the WAN, retain location-based automatic printer deployment and reduce ongoing driver conflicts and service desk overhead.

Indiana Farm Bureau deployed PrinterLogic to centralize print management while using direct IP printing so jobs go straight from workstation to local printer. The rollout removed all site print servers, enabled automatic, IP-range-based printer installs (while preserving user profiles), eliminated driver conflicts, improved WAN performance, and was completed quickly (about two weeks), saving hundreds of administrative hours and reducing help-desk calls.
