Beam, an APAC micromobility giant, faced significant complexity in managing diverse local payment methods across fragmented markets as part of its international expansion plans. To tackle this challenge, Beam partnered with the payments infrastructure provider Primer.

Primer's solution gave Beam instant access to a wide ecosystem of local payment providers and methods, streamlining its expansion into five new markets including Indonesia, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia. This resulted in a 134% month-on-month payments growth for Beam. In Indonesia alone, Primer enabled over 300,000 transactions through local payment methods, and in Australia, the partnership facilitated a commitment to route at least $35 million annually through Primer's infrastructure for greater transaction visibility.
