Unique geolocation solution boosted productivity in DIY stores

L’Entrepôt du Bricolage, a French DIY retailer with 38 stores, wanted to improve customer service and employee productivity while handling growing operational complexity in-store and in reserves. Working with Pricer, it looked for a way to reduce time-consuming tasks, help staff focus more on advising customers, and improve product geolocation across the chain.

Pricer implemented optical wireless communication-based electronic shelf labels, including Instant Flash and geolocation features, across the network, with around 15,000 labels per store. The rollout was accelerated to 32 of 38 stores in six months, and product search time dropped from 50 seconds to under 5 seconds. The solution also cut training time for new logistics staff from nearly three weeks to three to four hours, while supporting faster shelf-stocking, order preparation, and better customer responsiveness.
