Casino Supermarchés was one of the first retailers to see the value of electronic shelf labeling, starting in its hypermarkets with Eldat electronic price labels and then continuing the rollout with Pricer after Eldat and Pricer became the same company. The challenge was to bring stock information directly to the shelf edge across multiple store formats.

Working with Pricer, Casino developed a new Continuum electronic shelf label with a red overlay to match its brand colors. Pricer’s solution is now used across nearly all Casino Group store formats, with nearly 400 stores installed and about 7 million labels deployed in France alone, including the Spar convenience store chain.
