Bosch reduces production errors with Pricer and eliminates waste from misassembled parts

Bosch, an auto and electronics manufacturer, faced a challenge with costly production errors at their MFM plant in Hungary. Components on the assembly line looked similar, and using the wrong part resulted in expensive wastage. To eliminate these errors, Bosch partnered with vendor Pricer to implement their DotMatrix label solution.

Pricer's solution replaced paper lists with electronic labels that displayed and updated part information directly on the assembly line. The Pricer software integrated with Bosch's system, allowing both the product being built and the component lists to be updated simultaneously. This implementation led to a drastic reduction in errors and wastage, making it much easier and faster for production coordinators to switch products on the line.
