MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group, Europe’s leading consumer electronics retailer with more than 1,000 stores, online sales in 14 countries and 55,000 employees, needed a data-driven way to centralize and stabilize pricing. The Group struggled to align online and offline prices, relied on manual, error-prone pricing across one million SKUs, couldn’t monitor thousands of competitors, and lacked capacity for large-scale pricing experiments. Pricefx was engaged to deliver an intelligent, cloud-native pricing solution (using its PriceBuilder tool) to automate and scale pricing decisions.

Pricefx implemented an intelligent pricing platform that runs about 30 million pricing calculations per day across 2 TB of data on 40 servers, recalculating many prices several times daily and exporting updates to online and offline locations. As a result, MediaMarktSaturn now matches online and in-store prices, continuously monitors competitors, runs scalable experiments to refine strategies, and gains a 360° view of customer behavior—delivered rapidly through Pricefx’s cloud solution and a tightly collaborative implementation team.
