Valin Corporation, a San Jose–based technical solutions provider serving energy, life sciences, transportation and other industries, faced a brittle ERP-driven pricing process with poor visibility, manual updates and sales reps waiting up to an hour for pricing help. To handle its three-tiered logic, ~1,000 discount groups and ~300 suppliers, Valin chose Pricefx and opted for a phased Lightning implementation to quickly experience out-of-the-box Accelerators before committing to a larger rollout.
Pricefx delivered a Lightning solution—including Price Setting, Price Flexibility, Approval Workflow, QuoteConfigurator, PlatformManager and especially the Sales Insights Accelerator—plus automated data import and integrations, training via Confluence/LMS and superuser sessions. The result: supplier price increases now flow automatically into customer prices and can be mass-edited, sales reps access one source of truth (eliminating hour‑long waits), prices populate quotes instantly via PriceBuilder/Pricing Parameters, and reporting (margin and revenue breakdowns) has materially shortened price‑to‑quote time and reclaimed significant selling hours.
