PRICE Helps NAVAIR Get Approval for Funding

The customer, NAVAIR, required cost estimating and analysis support to make acquisition strategy decisions for upgrading the cockpit of its VH-60N Executive Helicopter Fleet from analog to digital technology. They contracted with the vendor, PRICE Systems, to develop the necessary cost estimates and a Business Case Analysis (BCA) using their parametric models and services.

PRICE Systems developed a detailed BCA and a Life Cycle Cost Estimate, utilizing a combination of parametric and bottom-up cost estimating techniques. This analysis enabled the program manager to assess multiple acquisition strategies and select a single recommended path forward. The results from PRICE Systems successfully helped NAVAIR meet the requirements for its Acquisition Decision Reviews and obtain the necessary approval and funding to move the program into its next phase.
