The University of Melbourne Faculty of VCA and MCM (Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music) faced fragmented event management—relying on spreadsheets and a legacy system—while needing deeper financial reporting, an easy-to-use platform for many casual staff, and reduced dependence on an overstretched IT team. To address these needs they selected Priava’s cloud-based venue and events management solution.
Priava was deployed to provide an intuitive dashboard, simple user administration for 14 staff, automatic backups and always-current upgrades, and detailed event-level budgeting and reporting. The Priava solution delivered measurable impact: a 200% increase in project productivity, new-user training reduced to about 30 minutes, elimination of on-site servers (capital and IT time savings), remote access for casual staff, and the ability to manage roughly 175 project events with clear, auditable cost tracking.
