Isaac Theatre Royal, a historic Edwardian theatre in Christchurch seating up to 1,292, reopened and expanded its spaces after the 2011 earthquakes but faced a sharp rise in bookings (around 50% higher) while still relying on local Word/Excel files that were hard to share and manage. To modernise operations and support multiple venue spaces and growing demand, the theatre selected Priava’s cloud-based venue and events management solution.

Priava migrated the theatre’s data, trained staff and provided a single, real-time cloud platform with event sheets, calendaring, reporting, remote access and planned Xero integration. Using Priava, Isaac Theatre Royal nearly doubled its booked performance days (from 180 to 320 in 2016), eliminated double bookings, cut administration time, identified and monetised under-used “dark days” and advertising space, increased occupancy and revenue, and improved internal coordination and client service.
