DoD Supplier’s Journey to Cybersecurity Compliance

Defense Industrial Base customer, a Midwest parts supplier with 250 employees and more than $100M in annual revenue, needed to meet DoD cybersecurity requirements for the 20%–30% of its business tied to defense contracts. Its existing G-Suite and O365 tools did not satisfy DFARS 7012, NIST 800-171, or upcoming CMMC Level 3 needs, and the company needed a cost-effective way to protect CUI without disrupting the majority of employees who did not work on DoD work.
