Designing Better, Safer, More Personalized Automobiles with Big Data Analytics

Honda R&D, part of Honda, wanted to unlock insights hidden in vehicle sensor data, customer surveys, telematics, and other large data sources to improve reliability and create a more personalized driving experience. To do that, Honda worked with Presidion’s analytics capabilities and tools including IBM SPSS Modeler, IBM Watson Content Analytics, and IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality.

Presidion helped Honda implement a big data analytics environment and train more than 100 engineers to use it. The results included analyzing over a million documents in about 10 minutes, faster sharing and reuse of data across teams, lower costs, and new real-world insights that supported better, smarter, safer automobile design.
