Southeast Financial Credit Union - Customer Case Study

Southeast Financial Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in Tennessee, needed a virtual desktop environment that could support 170 branch employees and a complex mix of legacy web-based financial services applications. Its earlier Citrix Presentation Server deployment on thin clients was difficult to configure, unstable, and time-consuming to troubleshoot.

Presidio recommended VMware technology and used VMware Capacity Planner to size the environment, then helped deploy VMware View Premier on Wyse thin clients. The new setup was easier to manage, supported features like PCoIP and VMware ThinApp, and let Southeast Financial replace compromised desktops quickly; it also reduced RAM requirements enough to save $12,000.00 and cut the time spent diagnosing desktop issues.
