The customer, Preset Cloud, faced the challenge of building a cloud asset inventory while avoiding the need to deploy and manage yet another analytics tool. They needed a solution to extract, transform, and load multi-cloud asset data for visualization, monitoring, and reporting.

The vendor, Preset, provided a solution using its Apache Superset platform. By leveraging CloudQuery for the ETL process to load data into PostgreSQL, Preset Cloud was able to connect Superset to the database and create interactive dashboards for their cloud asset inventory. This allowed the customer to reuse their existing data visualization stack, eliminating dashboard fatigue and providing the ability to share dashboards, set alerts, and send reports directly through Superset.
