Preset, through Apache Superset, provided a solution that acts as a thin layer atop Airbnb's data infrastructure. The platform offers first-class support for real-time analytics with integrations for numerous OLTP and OLAP databases, powerful time-series charts, alerting capabilities, and time-series forecasting. By implementing Superset, Airbnb was able to effectively visualize trends, monitor goals, and identify emergencies, establishing the foundation for a powerful, open-source BI tool that started at the company.
