The City of Winter Springs worked with PresentationPoint to address a challenge during bi-monthly City Commission meetings: when discussions became heated, it was difficult for the Mayor to manage speaking order and keep track of how long each participant had the floor. The city needed a better way to moderate nine dais members, including the Mayor, commissioners, city attorney, city manager, and city clerk.

PresentationPoint implemented DataPoint with PowerPoint and Bluetooth buttons to create a speaker queue system. Commissioners press a button to join the queue, the Mayor can see the order in PowerPoint, and the next speaker is moved into position with a speaking timer displayed. The result was smoother, better-moderated meetings and a more pleasant experience for citizens, though no specific numeric metrics were provided.
