Case Study: Nutrition Foundation improves sugary drink labeling insights with Premise

A Premise Case Study

Nutrition Foundation uses Premise to analyze 4,782 responses on sugary drinks in Indonesia

Nutrition Foundation, a global foundation dedicated to improving nutrition, partnered with Premise to strengthen the design of a behavior change campaign in Indonesia. Their challenge was to understand consumer behaviors and the impact of visual cues on purchase decisions for sugary drinks in order to inform an effective intervention.

Premise utilized its network of survey panelists to conduct large-scale data collection via smartphone-based surveys. The solution involved segmenting an audience of sugary beverage consumers and then testing their reactions to campaign imagery and sugar labels. The survey of 4,782 respondents revealed that people are receptive to sugar labels, especially color-coded ones, which helped them more accurately identify high sugar content. These insights allowed the customer to measure consumption frequency and advise grocery stores on effective labeling strategies to aid consumers in making healthier decisions.
