Nottingham Castle transforms £30 million redevelopment with Preloaded

Nottingham Castle underwent a major redevelopment to transform itself into a family destination centered on interactivity and storytelling. The challenge was to create immersive, playful experiences that brought the legend of Robin Hood to life for high volumes of visitors with diverse access needs. To achieve this, they partnered with PRELOADED to develop a suite of physical-digital games.

PRELOADED developed a suite of narrative-driven games using cutting-edge motion capture technology, custom-built hardware, and bespoke electronics. The solution included four interactive arches where visitors could test their skills with a longbow and quarterstaff. The result was a beautiful and sophisticated exhibit that immerses players in a vibrant medieval world, which has been very well received by visitors for its fun, hands-on activities.
