Historic Royal Palaces brings 20 million-seed Superbloom to everyone with Preloaded

The customer, Historic Royal Palaces, sought to democratize access to the site-specific Superbloom event at the Tower of London. They partnered with vendor Preloaded to create an augmented reality experience using Niantic’s Lightship Platform to engage audiences beyond the physical location.

Preloaded developed Tower Superbloom AR, an authentic recreation of the evolving floral display that allowed users to plant seeds and watch the bloom grow in their own environment. The solution successfully extended the historic spectacle to a global audience, encouraging learning and regular engagement. The project was recognized with a BIMA Award for Best Immersive Experience.
