BBC Studios partnered with Preloaded to bring its acclaimed natural history content into virtual reality. Their challenge was to create a groundbreaking and accessible VR experience that would actively engage users, moving beyond traditional passive viewing to leverage the unique potential of the medium.

Preloaded developed BBC Earth: Life in VR, an immersive and interactive experience that transports users to underwater ecosystems. The solution used a low-threshold design for ease of use and featured a real-time, open world with authentic animal behaviors to encourage exploration and replayability. The project achieved significant industry recognition, including winning a Google Play Award for Best VR/AR Experience and being selected for Doc/Fest.
