How Canon delivers a world class self-serve in-store shopping experience with personalised product recommendations

Canon partnered with **preezie** to improve the in-store shopping experience for camera buyers. The challenge was that products were often locked behind glass, making it hard for shoppers to explore options, get guidance, or confidently choose the right camera without waiting for staff.

Using preezie’s guided shopping and “help me choose” quiz, Canon added QR codes in stores and on product displays so shoppers could scan and get personalised recommendations. Over a 9-week prototype across 42 stores and 4 retailers, the solution drove strong engagement: 46% of in-store Canon camera purchasers scanned a QR code, 35% of those who scanned a product QR code bought that product, and 93% of shoppers who started the camera quiz completed it.
