Valmet Automotive, an independent Finnish car manufacturer, needed to manage and make sense of vast amounts of quality inspection data across its Uusikaupunki plant to meet demanding OEM standards and share transparent reports with partners. To address this, Valmet engaged Predisys and deployed the Predisys QualityCOACH quality analysis and control software beginning in 1997 to capture inspection data from the body shop, paint shop, assembly and final audit areas.

Predisys implemented QualityCOACH with PC and handheld data entry tied to a central database, giving factory staff and management real‑time, car‑specific information and automated graphs for trend analysis. The Predisys solution delivers error‑free, on‑demand data and weekly or tailored reports to OEMs like Porsche, helping Valmet eliminate root causes of defects, speed up manufacturing and sustain high-quality output (the Uusikaupunki plant produced 38,500 cars in 2000 and can scale further).
