Applied Materials, Inc., the global leader in precision materials engineering for the semiconductor, display and solar industries, needed better visibility and control of manufacturing quality across its global factories and supply chain. To address this challenge, Applied Materials selected Predisys and its Predisys Analytical Suite, an advanced statistical process control (SPC) solution, to continuously monitor processes and drive improvements in yield and product quality.

Predisys deployed the Predisys Analytical Suite initially to increase visibility into supplier production and then extended the solution to monitor and control Applied Materials’ own global factories. The implementation enabled continuous SPC-based monitoring that reduced variance and scrap while improving overall yield and quality across the enterprise.
