Eurosimm, a Manchester-based IT equipment distributor with over £40m turnover and a £3m inventory, needed a more efficient way to access in-depth accounts data stored in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Logging back and forth between NAV and Excel was time-consuming and didn’t allow the drill-down analysis required, so Managing Director John Kellington chose PrecisionPoint’s BI product, PrecisionPoint Connect, to bridge NAV and Excel and deliver bespoke reporting.
PrecisionPoint implemented PrecisionPoint Connect integrated with Dynamics NAV (and the telephone system) to provide automated, drill‑down reports—General Ledger, 3‑ and 6‑month sales analysis and a Daily Sales Person report showing quotes, calls, orders and invoices. As a result, Eurosimm has seen increased sales, faster decision-making from immediate daily intelligence, better stock optimisation, reduced need for external IT consultants, and quicker support, enabling staff to build their own reports and drive measurable operational improvements.
