Ginkgo Bioworks, a leading biotech company, faced challenges with its on-premises Jira and Confluence instances which were at end-of-life, experiencing significant downtime, and lacked dedicated internal resources for maintenance. To address these issues and support upcoming business initiatives, Ginkgo engaged the vendor Praecipio to manage a migration to Atlassian Cloud.

Praecipio executed the cloud migration over seven weeks, utilizing the Cloud Migration Assistant and working through challenges including app data transfer and SSO configuration. The solution successfully migrated 78 projects, 700 users, and 125 spaces. Ginkgo Bioworks was extremely grateful for the close attention to detail and has since transitioned to ongoing front-end application support with Praecipio.
