Arizona State Retirement System Offloads Maintenance After Cloud Migration

The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), a public pension fund, faced significant challenges in its migration from Jira and Confluence Data Center to the cloud. As a government entity, it encountered complex compliance issues with the state-managed single sign-on (SSO), a lack of bandwidth for user acceptance testing, and problems with third-party apps that did not transfer well. ASRS partnered with Praecipio to navigate this cloud migration and ensure compliance with the Arizona Risk and Authorization Management Program (AZRAMP).

Praecipio collaborated with ASRS, the state government, and Atlassian to implement a compliant SSO and develop custom code for directory synchronization. Post-migration, Praecipio worked directly with users to fix broken Confluence pages and ensure all applications met security standards. The solution freed up 60-80 hours per month for ASRS teams by offloading maintenance and enabled them to focus on more strategic tasks.
