A PractiTest Case Study
St John of God Healthcare, which runs 19 hospitals across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and has five QA teams nationwide, faced a critical testing challenge: catching bugs before they reached production. Much of the testing was done by business users with no structured process, managed in Excel and reported by email, leaving defects at risk of slipping through and potentially harming patients or operations.
They adopted PractiTest to centralize test management and integrate with JIRA; the tool proved easy to use, fast and well supported. As a result QA cycles are faster, defects are better tracked and coordinated across multiple teams, and even non‑development staff (including medical users) now reuse and run tests for UAT—helping testing gain recognition and investment within the organization.
