Pearl City Urgent Care, founded by CEO Donna Schmidt to serve Pearl City, HI, struggled after implementing an urgent-care EMR that relied on highly customizable templates. Providers didn’t have time to build templates between patients, which slowed documentation, hurt productivity, and failed to meet the center’s need for fast, standardized, accurate workflows.

In June 2013 they switched to Practice Velocity’s VelociDoc EMR (with PVMSM practice management and ZipPass).
