PR Agency One was engaged by Auto Trader to develop an innovative PR stunt. The automotive brand's challenge was to drive engagement and build visibility for the New Cars section of its website, with a key goal of securing high-authority follow links to improve its SEO performance.

The solution implemented by PR Agency One was the creation and launch of "Eau de New Car," a limited-edition perfume that replicated the scent of a new car. This spoof product launch was supported by a celebrity-fronted advert, a dedicated landing page, targeted media outreach, and scented billboards. The campaign by PR Agency One generated 394 links from 169 domains, significant media coverage, and over 2.8 million social media impressions. Commercially, it resulted in a 173% increase in new car leads and a 23% rise in unique pageviews for the target section.
