Case Study: Molex achieves 43% reduction in quality notifications with PowerSteering

A PowerSteering Case Study

Preview of the Molex Case Study

43% Reduction in Quality Notifications

Molex, a global manufacturer of electronic and fiber‑optic products with operations in 39 manufacturing locations across 16 countries, launched a coordinated Global Lean Six Sigma (GLSS) program across 25 development centers to drive continuous improvement. The company needed to standardize and manage thousands of improvement projects across languages and geographies and quickly surface underperforming work—evidenced by a tooling transfer report showing 80% of projects were late.

To solve this, Molex implemented Upland’s PowerSteering for a top‑down, multilingual portfolio view and standardized templates, tracking more than 2,700 projects through realization and gate approvals. The tool sped recovery of late work, enabled replication of successful projects, and delivered measurable results: a 43% reduction in quality notifications, 3–4 completed Black Belt projects per year, reduced waste and process variation, and stronger customer impact.
