Port Arthur Independent School District, which serves more than 9,000 students across 12 schools near the Gulf Coast, faced shifting state requirements and rising technology and reporting demands—most notably Texas’ 2013 House Bill 5, which required career planning for students. The district needed to adapt quickly to new regulations and reporting without disrupting users or family communication.

PAISD implemented PowerSchool eSchoolPlus SIS, using the built‑in Career Planner and receiving training, rollout support, and ongoing weekly regulatory calls from PowerSchool. With Home Access Center and the Admin App, the district improved parent communication and administrator access to student data, streamlined SIS management, stayed compliant with state rules, and freed educators to focus on student success.
