School District U-46 in Illinois Provides a Functioning, User-Friendly Data Visualization Solution

School District U-46, a 40,000-student district outside Chicago, needed a better way to access and share classroom, school, and district data. Working with PowerSchool, the district sought a functioning, user-friendly data visualization solution that would give teachers quick access to assessment and attendance information while also providing secure, transparent data for administrators and school board members.

PowerSchool implemented dashboards for classroom, school, and district-level reporting, starting with teachers and expanding to principals, administrators, and a specialized board member dashboard. The rollout was quickly adopted, with 900 of 2,000 teachers logging in early, and it helped staff ask questions and find answers more independently. The district also improved transparency while protecting student privacy, and now plans to use predictive analytics to identify students and schools needing extra support.
