PowerSchool Assessment partnered with Johnson City Schools (about 5,500 elementary and middle school students) as Tennessee shifted to TNReady online summative tests. The district needed a formative-assessment solution that offered high-quality, standards-aligned items, easy creation and administration, actionable reports, and dependable technical support — all on a very tight timeline.

After evaluating vendors, Johnson City implemented PowerSchool Assessment, a web-based instructional improvement system that provides standards-aligned content, assessments and real-time data. Fifty educators were trained and the elementary rollout was completed in under three weeks; teachers quickly adopted the tool to assess grades 3–8 across ELA, math, social studies and science, using immediate analytics and live support to drive instruction and readiness for online testing.
