Historic Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District Enjoys Modern SIS and Enrollment Solutions

Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District (DCJESD), a historic K–8 district north of Sacramento serving about 6,700 students, needed a modern, web-based student information system that was flexible, easy for varied staff roles to use, and able to integrate with third-party tools and online enrollment. The district wanted real-time access for teachers, parents, and administrators and a solution that would simplify reporting, registration, and daily operations.

DCJESD implemented PowerSchool SIS and PowerSchool Enrollment, gaining a fully web-based platform with mobile access, single sign‑on and API integrations, and classroom management tools. The rollout standardized registration and data practices, improved data privacy and consistency, increased parent/student access to grades and attendance, and is estimated to save the district about $60,000 per year in staff time and resources.
