Falls Church City Public Schools partnered with PowerSchool Registration to solve a persistent administrative burden: parents were repeatedly filling out the same paper forms each year, the district’s print shop was producing thick packet mailings, and staff spent hours chasing returns and manually entering data. The problem was highlighted by two parents’ complaint and affected all four schools and about 1,800 students.
Falls Church deployed a web-based enrollment and online-forms module (with school kiosks and library support) that integrated with its PowerSchool SIS. The district achieved about a 90% timely return rate, drastically cut printing and data-entry time, simplified reporting, and enabled PTAs to collect parent interest earlier. The online platform also boosted community fundraising—Giant Food A+ donations rose from roughly $3,000 to nearly $10,000—and the district continues to expand the partnership.
