Hamilton Grange Middle School, a West Harlem public middle school serving about 320 students (roughly 20% in temporary housing and 90% Spanish-speaking), struggled at the onset of COVID-19 with outdated contact information, language barriers, and the inability to locate and engage students who needed devices or remote support.
